Picnic & Park

Back home from Grandma and Grandpa's, we spent another day together.  We drove through Amigos and had a picnic at a park.  They got to ride together on this alligator and had a lot of fun!  School starts back up next week for Mena and I so we'll be back to the usual schedule soon!

The next morning we took the girls to play at the elementary where Grandma works.  This tornado slide was their favorite.  Where ever Mena goes, Maggie will follow!

Reading with Grandma

After Chuck E. Cheese we packed our bag and went to spend 2 nights at Grandma and Grandpa Frye's house.  Mena enjoyed reading books with Grandma!

Chuck E. Cheese

After the fair we took the girls to Chuck E. Cheese for pizza and fun.  Maggie was fine sitting in the green ladybug until I put the coin in and it started moving. Mena put the token into the fire truck and Maggie started freaking out as soon as it started moving.  I'm such a great mom that I took pictures before I picked her up!  Karen and I played skee ball so we could get some tickets to get the girls some prizes.  Mena picked out these purple glasses.

Lancaster County Fair

We went to the Lancaster County Fair with my friend Karen and her daughter Hailey.  The girls' favorites were the baby chicks and the bunny rabbits.  I think Maggie wanted to take the bunny home!  One pet is probably enough.

Need More Practice?

I maybe need to work on how to aim the camera when I hold it out with my arm to take a picture of us!

Park across the Street

Our backyard wasn't enough so we had to go across the street to the city park.  Both girls figured out this bouncing thing.  Mena was really able to get it going.  Maggie moved her body but the equipment didn't move with her.  Then they took a break to inspect pinecones.

Backyard

The girls had fun playing in our backyard and then walking to the bridge on the bike path behind our apartment complex.  There really isn't any water to look at below the bridge, but bridges are just so fun no matter what they go over!

Day with Mommy

I didn't have class today so I kept the girls home with me.  While Maggie napped Mena started writing her M and a.  Then she asked me to teach her how to write the e and n.  After she learned to write her first name, she wanted to learn to write Philomena Denise.  I told her we should work on Hogan first.  She had learned it before Maggie woke up!!

Why get dressed?

Maggie was sick for 4 days with it coming out both ends--yuck!  This was on the last day home when she was doing better.  Mena wanted to be totally naked but I told her she had to at least put on undies so I could let some sunlight in.

The girls did a great job taking turns and Mena helped me teach Maggie to say the colors as we played the game.
