Most "elf on a shelf" elves move each night. The girls were telling me about all the funny things the elf at daddy's house is doing. Ours doesn't move that much and I explained to the girls that Great Grandma Frye made this elf. Santa made him come alive to watch me when I was a little girl. He's very old and that's why he only moves about once a week. The first night he moved, he took the girls' letters to Santa and brought back letters from Santa. The second night he moved (a week later), he brought them back a Mickey Mouse Christmas cd. The girls are just in amazement that Santa is sending them stuff and that this elf is going to the North Pole during the night!
