Maggie: Mommy, your tummy is bigger.
Me: Yes, I gained weight while I was student teaching.
Maggie: If you're tummy gets bigger, you're going to turn into a daddy.
Me: So if my tummy gets as big as your daddy's then I'm going to turn into a daddy?
Maggie: Yep.
I laughed and told her that even if I gain more weight I will still be a mommy and I'll never be a daddy! I told her that mommies are always girls and gaining weight doesn't make you a boy like Daddy.
Maggie: Oh (it was almost like a shrug as she got off the couch to go play something else)
