We visited the Children's Museum and the girls painted their own faces, much to their excitement!!

Pizza

After miniature golfing we brought home pizza.  I had Papa Murphy's make my pizza and the girls got to make their own pizza.  Mena chose cheese and Maggie chose Canadian bacon.

Miniature Golfing

I took the girls miniature golfing for the first time.  They enjoyed it and want to go again!  Mena had a few good hits and a few where she just pushed the ball with her club into the area and into the hole.  Maggie didn't want to hold the club correctly and wanted to "do it myself!"

Maggie's First Day of Preschool at Meadow Lane

Maggie's preschool teacher is Miss Jen.  Maggie thinks it's amazing that we have the same name :)  Her first day of school Gene and I met at Meadow Lane to watch her get off the bus and go to her first day of preschool.  The bus was 30 minutes late arriving at school!  That's a lot of chit chat for parents that aren't married!  It was sprinkling and changed to a down pour just as the bus arrived.  I asked Maggie if she wanted us to walk her to the classroom or if she wanted to just go with her teacher.  She chose to walk with the para to the classroom.  Such a grown up little girl for her first day of school!

1st Grade

We dropped Maggie off at daycare and then drove to Kahoa for Mena's first day of 1st Grade.  She was so excited to go that we arrived 40 minutes early.  We took pictures in front of the sign and then Daddy arrived so we could each get pictures with her.  I left at a quarter to 9 so I could get to work.  Daddy stayed until school let the kids inside.

She had a great first day and was excited to go back the next day.  She's excited this year to take her own lunch.  Last year I made her eat there everyday.  This month I read her the menu and she chose to eat hot lunch 3x.  The rest we'll be packing a cold lunch.

Yummy Tomatoes

Maggie loves our home-grown tomatoes!  Here she rinsed the tomato with the garden hose and ate it like an apple.

Girl Scout Trip to the Zoo

Mena, Tessa, and Presley enjoyed the zoo together with their siblings and parents.  I enjoyed getting to talk with the other parents in a relaxed activity.  The last one is the girls screaming in the train tunnel.
